Viva Las Vegas!

The day after Madrona, Bear whisked me off to...
Sin City! This was the first trip to Vegas for both of us and it was quite fun. Bear surprised me on Christmas with this trip and it was special that we got to during Valentine day weekend, which was also our anniversary weekend.
You definitely do a loooooooooooooot of walking on the strip. Looks are deceiving, as far as distance is concerned. Although you may see the hotel and think it's not too far, you'll be in for a tiring surprise!
I got to travel to so many different places and see many things, such as Lady Liberty and the New York skyline...

then to Egypt to see the pyramids and a sphinx...

and got to see beautiful statues captured in beautiful lighting...

and patisseriess with waterfalls of milk, dark and white chocolate cascading from ceiling to floor, making you feel like you were in Wonkaland...

to see ceilings with the most Chihuly glass art you've ever seen...

that up close (and slightly blurry), they look like splotches of watercolor paint on canvas, the various hues bleeding into each other...

to gorgeous lobby entrances that make you feel like a king and queen...

Watching the sky (indoors) turn from dawn to dusk...

watching a romantic serenade of O Sole Mio for the gondola riders...

then up to the Eiffel Tower at night for a beautiful evening view of the city lights, with dinner at a French bistro directly below...

and enjoying the fountain show with Ol' Blue Eyes crooning his tunes...

and a decadent Valentine themed dessert to go to enjoy in our room to cap off the night... (although the sugar rush got us going a couple hours later that we headed downstairs to the casino in the wee hours to lose more of our wages, hahaha)

Happy Anniversary, my Bear! I had a lot of fun and it was a great getaway!

This looks like such a fun trip! That dessert is incredible!!

I'm also impressed with the tree you have outside of your window and the green sock! I mean it, I NEED to learn how to knit...as a hobby, not an enterprise! :)
