Panopticon book signing

My LYS welcomed Franklin Habit (aka The Panopticon) for a book signing of his book "It Itches" this evening.

Here's Franklin reading an excerpt from his book. He had us all laughing when he read an example from a Victorian-era pattern - talk about yikes! He suggested someone have a contest to knit from such so-called patterns and see what kind of results people come up with - that would be pretty interesting! I took some photos of some of the FOs he brought along with him. He knit some beautiful items, such as this one below, which looks like the Raha scarf pattern from Nancy Bush. This scarf has been in my queue and I hope to get to that someday (along w/ many others in my Ravelry queue, but who's counting?)

Apparently, this was his first time visiting the Pacific NW and looks like he's enjoying himself here so far. He signed my book with the following: "For Emiko! Yarn is inherently funny" :)

If he comes around to your town, definitely go see him - he's a very charming and funny guy (and his blog's a pretty fun read too). Look forward to reading the book!
